The Aumsville-Turner Troop meets every Tuesday evening at 7pm, during school months, in the Aumsville Elementary gym (the brick building.)  Feel free to drop in and see what we're doing.  Our first regular meeting will be Tuesday, Sept. 15th. You can still join scouts in the summer and participate in summer activities. See the Contacts to reach a troop member.

Overnight canoe trip on July 31st.  Meet at the southbound I-5 rest stop at 8am for breakfast and start work on the geocaching merit badge. This is a geocaching event so there will be geocachers there.  Wear your troop class B t-shirt to make it easier to identify our boys.

Bring a canoe if you have one, but we have access to some. Kayaks and inflatables are not recommended for this trip.

Please give me your input or questions for the trip. All boys must bring their own life jackets and whistles and must be strong swimmers.

Cost to families is $175 per scout (the troop is paying $75 per scout from our fundraising efforts.)  We encourage making periodic payments, but the troop needs to pay the full amount to the District in May. Payments should be made to Mark Kinslow.

All boys must have a Medical form completed. Our site has this form attached in the story immediately below this one.

Take this form to your medical professional when you are getting a physical for this year's camps. The completed form is valid for one yea and can typically be provided to your school if your son participates in sports. 

Physicals can be obtained at the West Salem Medical Clinic for $27. 503-378-7526 to schedule an appointment.

2010 is a year of celebration for Boy Scouts of America. During the year all boys have an opportunity to earn their ribons for the year of celebration award as well as a rare opportunity to earn four historic merit badges. Check out the forms tab for more info and merit badge worksheets.
